Arriving at Studio ES

Studio ES is located at the Southern part of the historical city of Ghent (Flanders, Belgium). The distance from Brussels is about 50 km and from Antwerp about 60 km.

By public transport / bike

Studio ES is easily accessible by public transport, only 30 minutes by train from Brussels Midi station.  The studio is within walking distance from the main station “Gent-Sint-Pieters”, through the Citadelpark. If you live in Ghent, we advise to arrive by bicycle. There is a reinforced public bike parking right next to Studio ES. We also have a shelter available, if you feel uncomfortable leaving your bike on the street parking.

By car

Studio ES is right at the edge of the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) of Ghent. Check first via the link if your car is allowed inside.

Allowed inside the LEZ: On Highway E17, take the exit “Gent-Centrum” (B401) drive to the end of the highway and then immediately turn left. In daytime, there is usually ample parking spots on Wenemaerstraat. In the evening you might need to find a spot on one of the neighbouring streets. The neighbourhood is part of the orange tariff zone where parking is paid between 9AM and 11PM. Don’t forget to buy a ticket from a parking meter.

Not allowed inside the LEZ: On Higway E17, take the exit “Gent-Centrum” (B401) and immediately take the exit “Ledeberg / Stadsring R40”. From the lights, turn left onto the ring R40 (direction Eeklo/Oudenaarde). Stay on the right lane and look for a parking spot on the right side of the ring, somewhere between Leeuwstraat and Jan Frans Willemstraat. These spots on the ringway itself are still considered to be outside the LEZ. Do not forget to buy a ticket from a parking meter and then walk the rest of the way to Studio ES.
